Make a New Things List

The first “new thing” that I marked off my list wasn’t technically new to me, although it had been fourteen years since I last played on a pottery wheel.

In school we’re encouraged to try new things. Even in college, I remember feeling incredibly excited to flip through the course catalog–with seemingly endless possibilities.

The first pot I threw in my pottery class.

We never lose that desire to learn.

Although our priorities can shift. Sometimes we need to focus our time and energy on our careers, families and health, so learning new things is set aside for a while.

And that’s totally fine!

But here’s a *nudge nudge* to get curious again and make a NEW THINGS list of your own.
